A local authority in the Northwest, is seeking a dedicated professional to assist in the administration of Disabled Facilities Grants (DFG) and related grant/loan services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conducting home visits to facilitate adaptations and the application process.
  • Inspecting properties and advising clients on the feasibility of adaptations.
  • Providing guidance on benefits, application processes, and expected timescales.
  • Processing means test forms and advising customers of the outcome.
  • Managing DFG applications, including liaising with applicants, obtaining land details, and securing owners/tenants/occupiers certificates as required.
  • Referring cases to agents the Council collaborates with.
  • Assisting applicants with obtaining quotes, addressing inquiries, and ensuring works are completed to a satisfactory standard.
  • Receiving invoices and processing payments for authorisation.

Essential Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • Proven experience with local authority DFG processes.
  • Familiarity with the Excel, SharePoint and M3 Systems

Contract Details

  • Duration: 6 months
  • Rate: £30-£40 per hour (Umbrella)
  • Start Date: Immediate
