A local authority in the Northwest, is seeking a dedicated professional to assist in the administration of Disabled Facilities Grants (DFG) and related grant/loan services.
Key Responsibilities
- Conducting home visits to facilitate adaptations and the application process.
- Inspecting properties and advising clients on the feasibility of adaptations.
- Providing guidance on benefits, application processes, and expected timescales.
- Processing means test forms and advising customers of the outcome.
- Managing DFG applications, including liaising with applicants, obtaining land details, and securing owners/tenants/occupiers certificates as required.
- Referring cases to agents the Council collaborates with.
- Assisting applicants with obtaining quotes, addressing inquiries, and ensuring works are completed to a satisfactory standard.
- Receiving invoices and processing payments for authorisation.
Essential Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- Proven experience with local authority DFG processes.
- Familiarity with the Excel, SharePoint and M3 Systems
Contract Details
- Duration: 6 months
- Rate: £30-£40 per hour (Umbrella)
- Start Date: Immediate
