We have a contract opportunity available for an experienced Principal Environmental Technical Officer in the South West, starting ASAP through to 31/03/2024. This senior position involves managing critical projects in noise and air quality monitoring, contaminated land initiatives, and driving sustainability practices.

Role Highlights:
- Environmental Monitoring: Lead projects in noise and air quality monitoring, manage contaminated land, and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Project Management: Oversee complex environmental projects with a focus on cross-team coordination.
- Policy Development and Public Engagement: Develop policy guidance and execute awareness campaigns on environmental health issues.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Use GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS) for data analysis and reporting to support informed decision-making.
- Requirements:
- BSc/Diploma in Environmental Health or related field (e.g., noise/air quality monitoring, contaminated land).
- Minimum of five years’ relevant experience in local government or a similar sector.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and leadership skills.
- Full, current driving license with flexibility to work non-standard hours as needed.
