We are looking for a fully qualified Environmental Health Officer/Food and Safety Officer to join our forward thinking and ambitious Food and Safety Team. Your role will be to deliver a wide range of regulatory and advisory activities covering food safety, occupational health and safety, infectious disease control, skin piercing registration and port health.

 A detailed knowledge of legislation, codes of practice and associated guidance is essential as is the ability to use your initiative, to investigate, make sound judgements and undertake a range of risk-based proportionate interventions. 

You must hold a suitable Food Law Code of Practice qualification, at Level 5 or above, including but not limited to the Higher Certificate in Food Control, Higher Certificate in Premises Inspection, or a degree in an Environmental Health related subject. Applicants must be fully registered with the Environmental Health Registration Board (EHRB), as a Registered EHP (REnvH) or equivalent. Ideally you will have post qualification experience in the food safety and occupational health and safety. Having a working knowledge of the IT system Uniform is desirable.
