Sharper Consulting Services is recruiting an experienced Noise & Acoustic Specialist to work on the high-profile HS2 rail project in the West Midlands.

This role focuses on assessing planning applications related to noise and acoustics for a major infrastructure project, ensuring compliance and effective mitigation of potential noise impacts.

Our client is looking for a qualified specialist with expertise in environmental acoustics and infrastructure project experience.

Rate: £40-£45 per hour

Job Type: Part-time/Full-time

 

Key Responsibilities:

Planning Application Assessment: Review and assess planning applications associated with noise and acoustics for the HS2 project, providing expert recommendations and insights.

Noise Impact Analysis: Evaluate potential noise impacts and propose mitigation measures in line with regulatory requirements and project specifications.

Technical Advisory: Serve as a technical advisor to stakeholders on noise and acoustic issues, ensuring clear communication and adherence to best practices.

Site Visits and Inspections: Conduct site visits as needed to support noise assessments, verify compliance, and monitor mitigation measures.

 

Requirements:

Professional Registration: EHORB/CIEH registration is essential.

Qualifications: Diploma in Acoustics or an equivalent qualification in noise and acoustics.

Experience: Proven experience with noise and acoustic assessments, ideally within infrastructure or large-scale projects.
