Environmental Health Officer

Buckingham Futures have an exciting opportunity for qualified Environmental Health Officers in Greater Manchester.

Role Details:

Location: Greater Manchester

Scope: Approximately 200 food hygiene inspections, to be completed by 31st March 2025

Key requirements include:

Qualified Environmental Health Officer with at least 20 hours CPD for the current year, including 10 hours of core food training.

Completion of the Food Standards Agency’s competency framework, with the document available for review.

Minimum two years of recent experience in food hygiene inspections. 

The majority of inspections are expected to take place in the evenings, with some daytime availability.

The premises involved are primarily unrated businesses and category C inspections.

Responsibilities:

Conduct full food hygiene inspections and issue handwritten reports on-site.

Issue letters in rare cases for significant non-compliance.
