Job Details
Our client, based in the Derbyshire are currently looking for a Private Sector Housing Officer available immediately to cover a vacancy within the team on a temporary basis for approximately 3 months Initially) while the recruitment process is under way to find a permanent replacement. If they do not find someone right away this is likely to be extended.
They are looking for someone who has the skills and experience to carry out our duties in relation to landlords and tenants to ensure improvements to the private rented sector. This will include HHSRS inspections as well as HMO licensing. It is crucial that you can manage you own workload and hit the ground running as there will be work to get going with right away, you will be asked to deliver improvements in housing standards in the private sector and to reduce the negative impact on health caused by poor housing conditions.
Whilst some work can be undertaken remotely, this is a front line role which will require the candidate to be close to district but there is remote working for 3 days per week form home and 2 days on district.
