Technical Officer / EHO Private Sector Housing
Team: Housing Solutions
Job Family: Directing - CBG11
Salary: £38,479 – £41,632 per annum pro rata
Hours: 37 Hours per week
Location: You will be expected to attend a CBC office location as often as needed to carry out your role, which will be no less than once per month
Contract Type: Hybrid – Permanent

As a Technical Officer or Environmental Health Officer (EHO/Practitioner) within the housing service you will be supporting the continuous improvement of the private housing sector across Central Bedfordshire, you will work within Private Sector Housing, which includes Housing Assistance (grants and loans), housing enforcement and licensing team. The team is ambitious and looking to improve the health and well-being of all residents within Central Bedfordshire. The successful candidate will have a broad and complex caseload and will represent the service in a multidisciplinary team being responsible for undertaking all PSH functions to ensure our residents are living in safe and healthy homes.

The role of Technical Officer/EHO Role will cover the whole remit of PSH functions, such as Grants and Loans as well as Housing Enforcement, HMO licensing and Public Health issues.
To meet the requirements of this exciting role you must have experience in housing enforcement, public health, HMO licensing, court attendance and demonstrate you have experience working as a Housing Enforcement Officer and / or Grants Officer / Surveyor.
