You must possess a valid driving licence and have access to your own vehicle. You must have a degree/diploma in Environmental Health & Certificate of registration with the CIEH (EHRB) or equivalent.

The Role
We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic Environmental Health Officer (EHO) to join our busy Regulatory Services here at Bolton Council.
The successful candidate will undertake a broad range of regulatory duties as the generic EHO any new and emerging priorities will be your responsibility. This will have the potential to work across all areas of Regulatory Services which includes Trading Standard and Licensing in addition to the Environmental Health functions of food safety, health & safety and pollution. Any additional capacity will be spent on the wide range of either food hygiene/standards, health and safety and pollution duties including inspections and re-active work. Using your excellent communication and customer care skills you will promote excellent standards within businesses and be able to take appropriate enforcement action, where required, to achieve compliance.
About You
You must be registered with EHRB or equivalent and have food law enforcement experience and competency. You must be able to cope with a demanding workload with a flexible approach and be equally happy working as part of a team or independently, with excellent decision-making skills. Where necessary, you must be able to work outside of normal office hours to meet the requirements of the service.
The role has been designated an essential car user post; therefore you must possess a valid driving licence and use of your own vehicle.
