Environmental Health & Licensing Manager

Salary: £48,663 - £54,406 (Grade H) plus Cash Alternative Car Allowance

Location: Civic Centre, Castle Hill Avenue, Folkestone, Kent CT20 2QY

Contract: Permanent

Working Pattern: Full Time

Hours: 37 hours per week

This role focuses on ensuring all statutory and non-statutory functions which includes but is not limited to food hygiene and safety, commercial health and safety, infectious disease, port health, animal welfare, tattooing and skin piercing registration, general environmental health issues and licensing including zoo licensing are carried out; and to  effectively and efficiently manage staff and financial resources to maximum advantage.

In order to be successful you will need experience of leading and managing a multi-functional team within a comparable organisation and, comprehensive knowledge of the policies and procedures necessary for enforcement officers to carry out inspections.

You’ll also have a sharp eye for accuracy and the ability to manage a mixed caseload, priorities and deadlines effectively. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships within the team and the wider organisation are essential.
