Our local authority client, based in East London have an exciting opportunity for a senior/environmental protection officer for an initial period of 3 months.

You will undertake an important role in the maintenance of the council's standards on environmental protection covering noise pollution, light pollution and odour and provide a major contribution to the prevention and resolution of pollution related issues/problems. The role focuses on noise and nuisance with the addition of planning & entertainment licenses as well as TENs.

In order to be considered it is essential that you recognised environmental health qualification and relevant and recent experience. You must have experience of advising business, consumers and other service users of the criminal and civil law relating to environmental protection in terms of noise, odour and light pollution. An additional qualification such as the IOA diploma would be an advantage.

This is full time 36 hours role paying £40p/h, possibly more for an exceptional candidate.
