Licensing Enforcement Officer

Buckingham Futures is recruiting for a Licensing Enforcement Officer on behalf of our client in South London.

Role Overview:

As a Licensing Enforcement Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with licensing regulations and legislation, conducting inspections, and taking necessary enforcement actions. You will also provide advice and support to license holders and the public, manage case files, and collaborate with other departments and external agencies to ensure public safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure businesses adhere to licensing regulations and legislation.
• Inspections and Enforcement: Conduct inspections, investigate complaints, and take enforcement actions when needed.
• Advice and Support: Offer guidance to license holders and the public on licensing matters.
• Case Management: Prepare reports, manage case files, and represent the council in legal proceedings if required.
• Collaboration: Work with other departments and external agencies to address licensing issues and promote public safety.

Requirements:

• Qualifications: Relevant qualifications or experience in licensing enforcement or a related field.
• Skills: Strong communication, negotiation, and investigative skills.
• Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of licensing laws and regulations and the ability to apply them effectively.
