Environmental Health Officer (Housing and/or Pollution)

Sharper Consulting Services is working on behalf of our Lancashire client in their search for an Officer to join their residential team on a temporary basis for approximately 6 months.

Rate: £35 - £45 Per Hour Umbrella

Environmental Protection:

You will be undertaking and assisting with Environmental Protection and nuisance related duties. 

This will include investigation and response to complaints in relation to allegations of statutory nuisance, assessing and approving s.61 applications, permitting, responding to licensing consultations and carrying out enforcement if necessary.

Private Sector Housing:

You will be required to carry out HMO licensing renewals, HHSRS inspections, schedule of works and if needed, enforcement duties in relation to landlords and tenants to ensure improvements to the private rented sector. This will include HHSRS inspections as well as HMO licensing. 

Whilst some work can be undertaken remotely, this is a front line role which will require you to be on the district but there is remote working available 2/3 days per week.
