We are looking for an experienced Environmental Health or other regulatory professional to join our small Environmental Health Management Team.
Your will have the management responsibility for and take the leadership of the Environmental Protection Team, Dog Control and the Cemetery and Crematorium Service, reporting to the Assistant Director (Head of Environmental Health).
Extensive knowledge of the best practice and legislation around Environmental Protection and Dog Control is essential, as well as experience of working within the environmental protection field of Environmental Health. Experience of managing a team within a regulatory role is also an essential requirement and you will be expected to engage with our wider partners within the city to contribute to the community safety and public health agendas.
Experience of managing in the bereavement sector is desirable and any successful applicant will be supported and provided with opportunities to develop.
We are embarking on an ambitious project to review all our work instructions and procedures to move to a new software system that will open opportunities to enhance our service delivery. This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in and so we are looking for somebody with the enthusiasm, experience and potential to help shape our services of the future.
