An exciting opportunity has arisen at Neath Port Talbot Council for two qualified Environmental Health Officers working within our Food and Health Protection service. We are a small team of highly motivated and passionate professionals and are looking for like-minded individuals to join us. The health protection, communicable disease and food safety functions are the key service areas which the Team currently delivers.
As a successful candidate, you will have excellent communication and negotiation skills, as well as a sound knowledge of best practice and legislation. You would be required to undertake the full duties of an Environmental Health Officer, in accordance with legislative requirements and the Council’s corporate policies and priorities.
You must be an Environmental Health Officer and hold a Certificate of Registration with the Environmental Health Registration Board or equivalent. Alternatively, we can consider a Career grade application if you are currently studying to become an Environmental Health Officer. You must also be able to demonstrate that you have experience of meeting the relevant qualification and competency requirements as detailed in the person specification.
