Pollution Control Manager

Buckingham Futures have an excellent permanent opportunity for a Pollution Control Manager in Hampshire to deliver professional pollution control services to residents, businesses, and stakeholders and act as the Council’s expert, develop policies, and lead the Pollution Control team.

Head of Regulatory Services

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide advice and support on pollution matters.
• Manage enforcement actions and environmental monitoring.
• Lead complex investigations and support the Pollution Control team.
• Manage the team’s budget and produce service plans.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and Council policies.
• Attend stakeholder meetings and prepare reports.
• Build relationships within the Council and local communities.
• Perform other duties as directed by the line manager.

Person Specification:

• Essential:Degree in Environmental Health or a related field, or extensive relevant experience. Knowledge of environmental enforcement and legislation. Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Desirable:Membership in a professional body, postgraduate qualifications, management qualification. Experience in air pollution, noise control, EPR Licensing, and legal proceedings.
