Role Responsibilities:
The role includes but not limited to the following:
Carry out the function of lead football officer for one of the three borough football clubs. Have an understanding of the legislative controls relating to Sports Grounds, arrange Safety Advisory Group meetings(SAGs), issue safety certificate, co-ordinate annual inspection, attend partnership and tactical meetings as required. Produce match day inspection reports, ensure the club meets its obligations in relation to the safety certificate and other applicable legislative requirements.
Coordinate Safety Advisory Group meetings for a borough event, undertake monitoring of the event to ensure public safety.
Undertake investigation into accidents, dangerous occurrences and serious incidents.
Respond to service complaints, members enquiries and FOI, etc.

Role Specific Qualifications:
Essential: BSc Environmental Health or relevant NEBOSH qualifications or equivalent Local Authority experience to fulfil the role at this grade.
Desirable: Other regulatory or vocational qualifications e.g. Lead Assessor.
CPD: Have up to date professional, legal, and technical knowledge to support the operation of the Teams’ health & safety functions.
