Permanent 37 hours per week

Based within the Environmental Crime team, you will provide advice, guidance and support to residents, visitors, and businesses within the city.   Utilising relevant legislation to investigate requests for service on a diverse range of environmental issues such as the condition of properties, air quality, accumulations, animal welfare, statutory nuisance, and fly tipping.

To lead on key/significant functions and/or projects including assuming the role of principle regulatory contact in relation to a specified area of work including the supervision of officers as directed by the Service Manager.

The teams work alongside the wider service area which incorporates City Wide Environment and Waste Management to improve environmental standards and support a clean, welcoming, and confident city.

The successful candidate will be required to effectively move around the city and manage a heavy and varied workload which may also include visiting premises outside normal office hours, where required.  You will have proven oral and written communication skills, be able to work on your own as well as being a team player.
