Environmental Health Officer - Commercial

We have an excellent opportunity available with a client in Hampshire who are looking to appoint an Environmental Health Officer within their Commercial Team.

You will join a relatively small team and as such you will have exposure to the full service and you will have opportunity to take on a wide range of tasks.

On a daily basis you will be carry out pro-active inspection work as well as dealing with ad hoc service requests. You will play a key role in enforcing statutory legislation in food premises.

The role will involve you with primary authority partners around the country so previous experience would be an advantage but for those interested in this aspect of an EHOs role this may be the perfect opportunity for you to learn.

We are looking for a registered Environmental Health Officer with proven experience in a Local Authority. The role would suit someone who is keen for more responsibility, comfortable managing a varied workload and someone who is keen to make a difference and looking for the chance to play a more active role in a supportive team environment.

Our client is based within easy reach of Southampton so you will need to be able to work in the office as required; they are open to those looking to relocate and may be able to provide assistance. A full driving license is required for this role.

They are offering a salary of £38,851 - £41,773.
