Job Title: TO/EHP - Park Homes & Older People
Team: Private Sector Housing, Housing Solutions
Job Family: Directing - CBG11 Salary: £38,479 – £41,632 per annum pro rata
Hours: 37 Hours per week
Location: You will be expected to attend a CBC office location as often as needed to carry out your role, which will be no less than once per month.
Contract Type: Hybrid – Permanent
Closing Date: 19th May 2024
Interview Date: Proposed date for interviews: 4th June 2024 – interviews will take place in person at Priory House, Shefford

As an Environmental Health Officer or Technical Officer within the housing service you will be supporting the continuous improvement of the private housing sector across Central Bedfordshire, you will work within Private Sector Housing, which includes Housing Assistance (grants and loans), housing enforcement and licensing team. The team is ambitious and looking to improve the health and well-being of all residents within Central Bedfordshire. The successful candidate will have a broad and complex caseload and will represent the service in a multidisciplinary team being responsible for undertaking all PSH functions to ensure our residents are living in safe and healthy homes.

EHO/Technical Officer Park Homes
As the Park Homes Officer, you will have specific responsibilities for:
- Park Home Site Licensing, inspection, and compliance with Site Licence conditions
- Engagement with Park Home residents and owners, Cllrs and other stakeholders
- Regularising Park Home sites which are not licensed or non-compliant, which may include enforcement action and prosecutions
- Grants and Assistance for residents residing in Park Homes
- Any other issues relating to, and occurring on, Park Home Sites
To meet the requirements of this exciting role you must have experience in Park Home Site licensing, or other housing enforcement, public health, HMO licensing experience, and demonstrate you have experience working as a Housing Enforcement Officer.
