Graduate Trainee Food and Safety Officer

  • £36,648 per annum, plus essential car user allowance

We currently have an opportunity to join East Suffolk Council's Food and Safety Team as a Graduate Trainee Food and Safety Officer.

The role

Your role will be to complete the EHP Portfolio and Professional discussion within the 12-month contract. You will also be expected to deliver a wide range of regulatory and advisory activities covering occupational health and safety, food safety, infectious disease control, skin piercing registration and port health, at a level appropriate to your qualifications, experience and competence and having regard to codes of practice and associated guidance. 

What you will need

We are looking for someone who holds an accredited qualification in Environmental Health who wishes to become a Registered Environmental Health Practitioner (EHP) accredited by the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health.
