Our Local Authority Client, based in South London are looking to appoint an experienced Environmental Enforcement Officer to join their team. You will carry out environmental enforcement activity across the borough including (but not limited to), fly-tipping, littering, dog fouling, unlicensed street trading, commercial waste enforcement, enforcement of Public Spaces Protection Orders (PSPO). You will be required to utilise the relevant statutory provisions to respond to a wide range of offending behaviour; working closely with other teams within Community Safety and the council in order to achieve the council's objectives. Lastly, you will also be required to deliver planned activity outside of normal office hours (21 hours per month)

In order to be considered, you must have at least one year experience in a similar front-line environmental enforcement, Consumer Protection or regulatory enforcement role. You must also have Knowledge of the current environmental crime related issues in London and knowledge of the relevant legislative framework. You must hold a full, manual UK driving licence, with no more than six points. This must be maintained throughout employment.

This is a full time post, working 35 hours per week. The contract will run for an initial 3 months.
