Health & Safety Manager

The role

We have an exciting opportunity, created by strong business growth, to join our team of Health and Safety, Fire Safety and Food Safety professionals. Saeker is a leading consultancy and compliance software provider supporting a wide range of businesses including hotels, holiday parks, country estates, residential care and educational establishments throughout the UK.

We are looking for a professional, committed and experienced Health and Safety Manager to manage all aspects of health and safety for the business, ensuring the delivery of exceptional standards of service to clients.

You will be a member of the leadership team of the business, taking an overall role in setting the strategic direction for the business, as well as leading the delivery and development of our health and safety services.

A varied role, often working with well-known brands, you will be responsible for:

  • Working collectively with fellow members of the leadership team to support the reputational and commercial growth of Seaker, whilst taking the lead for health and safety in this respect.
  • Account managing clients ensuring we deliver client satisfaction and growth.
  • Providing mentoring, peer review and leadership support for health and safety across the business.
  • Overseeing the development of the strategy of the business with regard to delivery of health and safety consultancy services.
  • Taking day to day responsibility for decision making, whilst promoting strategic medium and long-term solutions.
  • Overseeing the quality of delivery of consultancy services and audits to clients.
  • Delivering consultancy and audit support to clients on site.

What we’re looking for

We pride ourselves on our expertise and commitment to client support. To be successful you will need to be confident working in a consultancy environment, offering the best advice with the ability to deliver high standards in all that you do. Your communication and relationship building skills will be second to none and you will need to be able to demonstrate the following:

  • CMIOSH or CertIOSH.
  • At least 2 years post membership experience, either as a consultant or within a company.
  • Experience of working within the sectors we cover is desirable.
  • The ability and self-motivation to work independently to meet deadlines and deliver expected standards.
  • Analytical ability with strong report writing skills and the ability to prioritise and schedule objectives to optimise time, cost and quality.
  • A problem-solving mindset to enable you to work with clients to find solutions and deliver results.
  • The ability to design and deliver health and safety training
  • A full driving licence: the nature of the role means that car travel will be necessary
