Environment Health Officer

Grade 5 - £40,221 - £48,474 Consultation grade - subject to formal evaluation under the Pay Equity Review

Working 36.5 hours per week

We have Environmental Health Officer posts available within our Environmental Health team to undertake investigations and enforce relevant statutory provisions aimed at protecting and improving public health and the environment.

As our Environmental Health Officer, you will have a degree/diploma in Environmental Health and be EHORB registered or a CIEH Registered Environmental Health Practitioner, and have:

  • knowledge of Environmental Health legislation and enforcement procedures
  • the ability to use IT packages and have excellent communication skills. 
  • flexibility to work in a busy environment and the ability to work on several different cases at any one time.
  • the requirement to drive is essential. You will be expected to travel within Birmingham for which you will be remunerated for the use of your car.
