Following a service review, Argyll and Bute are recruiting two posts for Environmental Health Officers or Regulatory Services Officer/Food Safety Officers to join our team, working in a very challenging yet beautiful part of Scotland with a coastline exceeding the coastline of France. Working from the Helensburgh and Lochgilphead office, you will undertake the wide range of environmental health enforcement, including public health, environmental protection, food safety (including a large export sector) and health and safety you will have the chance to manage your own district workload, whilst working with other team members, to regulate NAD protect public health. (Please note that the salary for an EHO is £40914-44272)
Recognising the national shortage of Environmental Health Officers, the post may be filled as a Regulatory Services Officer (Salary £35786-£39819). We would be interested to receive applications from graduates who are authorised food safety enforcement officers holding the Higher Certificate in Food Hygiene/Food Control, or are working as an environmental health enforcement officer in local authorities. Depending on the successful candidate, there may be an opportunity to undertake training and development to support a career pathway from Regulatory Services Officer to Environmental Health Officer.
