What you’ll be doing:

If you are an experienced environmental health or housing professional, educated to degree level or equivalent within relevant professional or technical area then we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team.
You will be responsible for supervising and mentoring officers, providing them with specialist advice relating to housing standards and the Housing Health and Safety Rating System, property licensing, and the investigation of housing related offences, as well as well as managing a case load.
The successful candidate will need to have extensive knowledge of relevant legislation and guidance as well as Membership of a relevant professional body e.g. CIEH, with relevant experience of implementing a variety of regulatory interventions designed to improve housing quality or protect the safety of residents.
Some experience in a supervisory or management role in environmental health is desirable, but not essential.
