Job Details
Our client, based in Gloucestershire are currently looking for a Private Sector Housing Officer available immediately to cover a vacancy within the team on a temporary basis for approximately 3 to 4 months while the recruitment process is under way to find a permanent replacement. They are looking for someone who has the skills and experience to work to bring long term empty properties back into use, ensure compliance with MEES regulations and carry out our duties in relation to landlords and tenants to ensure improvements to the private rented sector.
The work will involve investigating complaints including Damp and mould, disrepair, rats and rubbish. Experience of administering Disabled Facilities Grants and use of the Uniform system would be welcome. The person appointed will be working with a Principal Environmental Health Officer in the busy Private Sector Housing Team.
Whilst some work can be undertaken remotely, this is a front line role which will require the candidate to be within one hours journey of the Stroud District at least 3 days a week to enable site work to be undertaken. Hot desking is available at the Council Offices.
They are looking to pay £40-45PH Umbrella.
