Our local authority client, based in East of England / Home Counties, are looking to appoint an experienced Environmental Health Officer to work emphasising on Private Sector Housing (disrepair and HMO), but someone with historic nuisance experience is a benefit too. The role will mainly be based around with Damp/Mould and excess cold due to the time of year.

In order to be considered you must be HHSRS trained and have significant experience in using the HHSRS enforcement powers. Knowledge of Damp and Mould within a Local Authority setting is crucial. You must be confident is dealing with, landlords, agents etc, and good at keeping written records/evidence gathering.

Hybrid working is 100% available with not on district and you will need a driving licence to get about district. They are looking for someone full time but they will accept 4 days per week (no fewer).

This contract will run for an initial 3 months, ASAP start and the client is willing to pay up to £40 per hour Umbrella.
