Private Sector Housing Officer

I'm currently working with a West Midlands-based local authority looking for a Private Sector Housing Officer to take on an initial 3-month contract.

Full-time candidates are preferred but you'll also be considered if you wish to work 3-4 days a week instead.

Previous experience in Housing Standards will be essential to the role which will mainly consist of carrying out HHSRS inspections as well as looking at HMOs. You can expect to deal with issues such as dampness and mould, overcrowding and disrepair etc.

What’s in it for me?

• £35-£40 per hour (DOE) - equivalent to earning up to £72,000 per year
• 3-month rolling contract with likely extension beyond this
• Only 2-3 days on-site.

Please note that you will need to have an HHSRS qualification to be eligible fo this role.
