Private Sector Housing Team Leader

Our client in Berkshire, are looking for a Private Sector Housing Team Leader to assist this Housing team in a very busy Private Sector Housing department. You will be asked to lead and develop the overall strategic and operational management of a the Private Rented Property Licensing and Planning Enforcement Team in accordance with professional and legislative guidance. If successful you work as part of a dedicated team focussing on the inspection, regulation and statutory enforcement of housing standards specifically in relation privately rented properties and Houses in Multiple Occupation (HMO's) using the full remit of housing legislation including statutory and discretionary licensing, service of statutory notices, prosecution, works in default and Management Orders pursuant to the Housing Act 2004. To mentor and manage officers within the team and to provide quality assurance and oversight of regulatory decisions made by supervisees, as well as critical review of enforcement notices, reports and legal case files.
The right person will be extremely knowledgeable about Private Sector Housing legislation (eg Housing Act 2004, Crime & Disorder Act 1998 and Town and Country Planning Act) as well as work experience managing a Private Sector Housing team ensure KPIs are hit and examples of when you have managed a team fostering teamwork and involvement with staff to increase performance,

If successful you will be offered an initial contract of 3 months (however this should be extended) paying £50PH Umbrella.
