An exciting opportunity has arisen to work in a freshly redesigned team that prioritises high standards in a high-performance culture. Shropshire is the second largest land-locked county and is a great place to work and live being a predominantly rural area with the famous market towns of Shrewsbury, Bridgnorth, Ludlow and Market Drayton.

We are looking for either a suitably qualified and food competent EHO or a Technical Officer to work with us in our Health Protection Team, part of the Health and Wellbeing directorate. You will be undertaking food hygiene / standards and health and safety interventions and service requests in a broad range of premises ranging from small artisan producers to large approved production units. You will be based in one of our busy area teams and will be responsible for your own workload with the support of colleagues around you.

Candidates will have appropriate EHRB registration and satisfy the competency requirements of the FSA Food Law Code of Practice. In return we offer you hybrid working, flexible working arrangements and a generous leave allowance. Applicants from part time workers or job share are welcome.
