Regulatory Compliance Officer / Environmental Health Officer

Grade 6- 8 £25,878 to £38,296 (Career progression)

The Role

We are looking for a full time permanent Regulatory Compliance Officer or a qualified Environmental Health Officer to join our busy but dedicated Business Compliance Team.

You will need a recognised degree or diploma in Environmental Health and be able to demonstrate food competence in accordance with the Food Law Code of Practice. ideally you will also be EHRB registered or a Chartered Environmental Health Practitioner.

The duties are varied and would be dependant upon your experience and qualifications. If successful you would be helping us to deliver a wide range of services including: Food Safety, Food Standards, Health and Safety at Work, and Public Health Funerals. We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated team player who has the ability to research, investigate and take risk based proportional action based on their knowledge and experience. 

In this frontline role you should have good verbal and written communication skills, and be able to adapt those skills to a variety of audiences.

A full driving licence and access to a suitable vehicle is essential.
