We’re offering an exciting opportunity for two motivated and enthusiastic Environmental Health Practitioners to work with us at Croydon in our high performing Food and Safety team which ensures commercial business and public events throughout the borough meet the highest possible standards.

Croydon is a vibrant South London Borough, with over 3000 food premises, a diverse population of around 392 000, and lots of environmental health challenges.  It is home to Crystal Palace FC, a Premier League Football Team and some of the most beautiful parks and green spaces in London.  In 2023, Croydon was awarded the Mayor of London’s Borough of Culture status.

Our successful candidates will undertake a range of duties including risk-based food hygiene and standards inspections, health and safety, and infectious disease functions, as well as investigating a range of service demands.

You must be a fully qualified Environmental Health Officer with EHRB registration.  You should be able to manage a diverse case load and have good time management and organisational skills, you must be a strong team player and possess excellent communication skills.

You will hold a full driving licence and be able to provide your own car.  You will be required to work some evenings, weekends and on a flexible basis.
