Environmental Health Officer
£37,431 - £49,021 per annum inclusive of outer fringe allowance (career grade)
Full-time, 37 hours per week (hybrid working)
Fixed term contract - 12 months

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Environmental Health Officer to join our Environmental Health team on a 12-month fixed term contract.
In this role you’ll be working within our commercial team predominately responding to both service requests and delivering statutory interventions in food and health & safety, based upon your experience and competency.
This is a role for someone that is passionate about Environmental Health, takes pride in delivering a responsive customer focussed service and can work well under pressure. You’ll need to bring a positive attitude, be prepared to try new ways of working, celebrate success and show perseverance to achieve compliance. Organisational skills will be invaluable to manage a varied caseload, for which you will take personal responsibility.
There is a need to be flexible and sometimes be prepared to work outside of regular office hours to deliver our services

You will have a relevant qualification In Environmental Health. This is a frontline role, so good verbal and written communication skills are necessary, along with the ability to explain complex legislation to a variety of audiences and provide advice in accurate spoken English.
