Your role will require you to work alongside the Safety Advisory Group (SAG) and the Corporate Health and Safety Team to ensure that event organisers are aware of legislative requirements and are able to run safe events.
You will be required to work with a minimum of supervision and provide regular progress updates prior to SAG meetings.
Effective liaison between the Events, Licensing Team and Parks Team on temporary event notices is particularly important, as well as liaison with external partners.
You will also plan and assist with targeted health and safety interventions and support the management of infection control.
BSc/MSc in Environmental Health or an experienced Health and Safety professional with a NEBOSH National Diploma or equivalent.
You will have excellent communication skills and have experience in carrying health and safety regulatory work.
This is a site-based position so being able to travel is essential
