Housing Enforcement Officer

Our client in West London is currently seeking a Housing Enforcement Officer to coordinate activity within the housing and development department.

Length of contract: 3 months initially, with the scope of extending up to 18 months

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage the delivery of multiple housing development programs

Supervise the regeneration of estates from a strategic point of view

Lead the management and implementation of one or more complex housing regeneration programs

Improve and monitor the service department

Ensuring innovation, best practice, and best value in commissioning and delivery

To supervise consultation with residents on major estate regeneration schemes in liaison with the consultation and tenant participation teams

To lead on and provide expertise to the Council in respect of fire safety as regards combustible cladding and other fire safety issues in high-rise residential buildings. To provide professional advice, in line with appropriate competencies, to local stakeholders and other directorate service areas. To protect and improve the health, safety, and well-being of consumers, residents, and workers within the Borough at work, at home, and at leisure

Ideal Experience:

Knowledge of the Housing Act (enforcement and HHSRS) would also be a requirement.

Have previously dealt with Fire safety.

Procurement experience

Housing knowledge (housing management probably)

Detailed knowledge of and demonstrable skills in undertaking complex housing development and project management
