We are looking for an enthusiastic Environmental Health Officer to work in the Business Regulatory Team.

Salary: £35411-£37261 / Grade I

Service Unit: Environmental Health and Community Safety

Closing Date: 04/06/2023

Hours: Full time - 37 hours per week

Location: Civic Centre

About you

You will be a qualified Environmental Health Practitioner or hold EHRB Certificate of Registration. It is essential that you have an excellent level of verbal and written communication skills.

You will be able to travel to work sites and premises across the city. This post involves flexible working, however there is a requirement to regularly work in the office and attend team meetings. There will also be some planned out of hours work on occasion.

About the role

In this role you will be field-based, undertaking a wide range of investigations in relation to business regulation within the city; assisting with the inspection of premises for food and health and safety; giving professional advice and dealing with associated complaints or incidents in areas such as noise, odour, light, waste management and infectious disease control. Experience of delivering Level 2 Food Hygiene Training would be an advantage.
