Job Details
Our local authority client, Hertfordshire have an opportunity for an experienced Environmental Health Manager to join their team. You will work in conjunction with the Director of the Environment Directorate, Head of Regulatory Services, other service Business Unit Managers and lead members, to ensure effective delivery and long term planning of key council and Division priorities.
The duties of the role involve the management of the Neighbourhood Noise and Nuisance Service comprising three teams: Licensing, Noise and Anti-social Behaviour.
In order to be considered, you must have experience of leading Environmental Health, investigations and projects, including those involving legal action, sound theoretical knowledge and practical understanding of the application of relevant legislation, codes of practice and relevant national guidance affecting all aspects of Environmental Health work and you must be able to make competent, well-judged, risk based and timely decisions within the context of conflicting demands and work pressures in a changing environment and with minimal guidance and supervision.
This role is currently running until the end of March 20223.
The current pay rate is £450 per day, if you would like for us to negotiate on your behalf for a higher rate please do indicate what this rate would be when you reply.
