Job Details
Our local authority client, based in East London are looking to appoint an experienced Pollution Officer to assist the environmental protection team by providing licensing consultations responses, advising on potential adverse public nuisance impacts and providing planning application consultation. Advising on potential adverse effects due to environmental pollution including contaminated land, acoustics/noise, air quality and prevention of statutory nuisance (e.g., dust, odour etc.) and assist with general environmental protection duties including commercial nuisance and regulating noise from transport and building construction sites.
This role requires you to have at least 4 years experience of working within this field. You must have a Degree or Diploma in Environmental health/Sciences or equivalent professional qualification or relevant degree.
This contract will run for an initial 3 months, is full time but this could be flexible. Remote working can be considered as well. Pay rates will be between £40 to £42 per hour Umbrella.
