Public Protection Officer (Environmental Health)

Salary: Grade 9 - £34,723 - £38,296 per annum       

Hours: 37 hours per week - Permanent

Closing Date:  13th April 2023

Working within our busy Housing & Pollution team, in this role you'll be responsible for maintaining & improving housing standards across the County by working with key stakeholders such as Rent Smart Wales, Fire & Police Authorities.

You will be expected to have previous experience of undertaking detailed property inspections using the Housing Health and Safety Rating System to assess potential hazards and be familiar with taking enforcement action including the service of notices and preparing schedules of work to bring the property up to the required standards.

We have both mandatory and additional HMO licensing schemes in Denbighshire and so previous experience in this field of work would be advantageous. You will also have the opportunity to work with other officers in the team including Pollution when required.
