To support this, we are now seeking to recruit to the above post in order to help boost our Environmental Health resource and the wider resilience of the Regulatory Service team. 

Regulatory Services delivers the Environmental Health, Development Management, Licensing and Estates functions for the Council and works closely with Emergency Planning and Building Control.  The post holder will support the Environmental Health Manager, Principal Environmental Health Officer and other service colleagues in delivering the full remit of Environmental Health duties and responsibilities, together with the opportunity to contribute to specialist project working.

Applications are invited from newly qualified students with a Degree (or equivalent) in Environmental Health. The Council will consider applications from persons who are due to complete their professional qualification in the academic year 2022/2023. We are looking for candidates who have energy, enthusiasm, excellent communication skills and an open mind to all aspects of Environmental Health work.  This represents a unique development opportunity which we are thrilled to offer at this time.
