We have a vacancy for a permanent full time Environmental Health Officer within Public Protection (Environmental Health & Trading Standards) working flexible hours to suit business needs, usually Monday to Friday, based at the Civic Centre, Glebe Street, Stoke-on-Trent, ST4 1HH with provisions for remote/home working.

Ideally starting as soon as possible, this is an exciting opportunity to join a busy team in a Unitary Authority, handling a wide range of environmental protection and pollution control functions, making a difference to everyone who lives in, works in and visits Stoke-on-Trent.

Reporting to the Environmental Health Manager, and working within a friendly and experienced team, you will be responsible for undertaking investigations and inspections, managing a proactive and reactive workload, responding to statutory consultee requests and providing advice and support relating to environmental protection, pollution control and permitting duties.
