Job Details
We have a food premises inspection contract in place with a client in in the South East (North-West of London) and they are looking for a Food Safety Officer to complete Food Hygiene Inspections.
To carry out this work you will need extensive experience operating as a local authority Food Safety Inspector / Officer; the role would not suit those with experience in the private sector, it is essential that you have recent local authority inspection experience. We will need evidence of your competency (CPD record / qualifications / competency assessment document). You will need to need to demonstrate competency and suitable qualifications as per the FSA Code of Practice.
Whilst the majority of the work will be site visits, there will be an expectation of visits to the office to drop off paperwork and catch up with the Manager. The work will comprise high and low risk inspections of new food businesses. The successful candidate will be given a list of inspections to do which will be a mixture of low and high risk food businesses, some of which will need to have appointments made and others would be walk-in
The work programme is flexible and we do not need full time commitment. Site visits will be required so full driving licence and business care insurance will need to be uploaded with compliance.
This is Outside IR35 paying £55.00 per inspection, £25.00 revisits and £15.00 for a void.
