Home based – peripatetic role covering the North of England

One of the UK’s most inspiring and best known faith-based organisations, The Salvation Army, is looking for an experienced and qualified Health and Safety or Environmental Health Practitioner. You will work as part of the Safe Mission Team as the health and safety expert for a designated geographical area supporting safe delivery of the many activities of the Salvation Army. This includes thriving community churches, a variety of charity shops, Salvation Army Lifehouses, residential homes for older people and other settings in the North of England.
The role calls for a collaborative approach to safety, you will need persistence, tact and patience as well as a thorough, practical, technical knowledge of Health and Safety. Reporting to the Head of Safe Mission you will be based at home and be able to travel extensively throughout your work area and elsewhere in the UK.

The post holder must be able to work within the Christian ethos of The Salvation Army.
