This will include mediating and negotiating satisfactory outcomes to service requests from the public, Councillors and MP’s.
  • You will act as an expert witness in Court to ensure legal requirements relating to contaminated land are fulfilled.
  • On a daily basis you will appraise technical ground investigation reports and recommend planning conditions, to ensure that the environmental implications are addressed and undertake inspections and enforcement of industrial installations.
  • You will respond when necessary to major incidents or other emergencies requiring the response of environmental services staff.
  • During the busy summer months you may be required to support the team in relation to noise and statutory nuisance duties.
  • In the role you will be responsible for the organisation of your personal workload including maintenance of records, writing of letters and reports and working with other team members to ensure the targets of the team are achieved.
  • You will also be expected to lead on one or more functional areas or projects with either a team or wider-service focus and provide support to the Air Quality work undertaken by the team.
  • Using your knowledge you will contribute to the development, implementation, monitoring and review of the team’s service plan.
