Chorley Council has an exciting opportunity for an experienced, senior Environmental Health Officer to act as our Team Leader, as part of the Public Protection Team.
The role of the team leader, is to lead a small team of environmental health officers to undertake a detailed exercise of the council’s key environmental health functions, predominantly; Food Safety, Health and Safety, Housing Standards, Environmental Protection, Animal Welfare and Public Health.
We require an officer who is able to demonstrate experience of effective management skills, great communication, enthusiasm and ambition.
The applicant will require a level 6 degree in Environmental Health and the certificate of Registration Board (or equivalent). Have up to date sound knowledge and experience of working within regulatory services, and previous management or senior officer experience.
