Our Auditors play a crucial role in the mission of NSF International. In this role, you will have the opportunity to travel, meet new people and learn more about many of the businesses you may frequent as a consumer. You’ll inform and educate restaurant, bar, foodservice and grocery store owners about specific standards while continuing to learn more about those industries and grow your skills.

This is a great opportunity for newly qualified Environmental Health Professionals, or those with a minimum Level 4 Food Safety & Level 4 Health & Safety qualification looking to break into the audit service delivery environment.

Currently we are looking for safety advisors across the UK in the current locations: Peterborough/Cambridge, Nottingham, North West, North East, Scotland.

*We are also looking for self-employed contractors across all UK regions*

What you will be doing:

  • Conducting food safety inspections/audits.
  • Coaching/training at client’s sites
  • Summarising and evaluating inspection/audit findings.
  • Communicating findings/results of inspections/audits with client site management or appropriate client representatives.
  • Collecting food, product or environmental samples from client sites and have the samples sent to appropriate laboratories for testing.
  • Developing effective work plans for the completion of assigned inspections/audits within a determined timeframe.
  • Establishing and maintain effective communication with key team members including audit delivery and client teams.

The candidate we are looking for:

  • Minimum Level 4 Health & Safety and Level 4 Food Safety qualification OR Food related Degree
  • Ability to perform audits in all disciplines (Food, H&S, Fire) and/or the ability to train safety advisors
  • Confident, self-motivation individual with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong personal organisational skills – able to prioritise and plan workload including the ability to respond to short-term business demands and priority changes
  • Full UK Driving License
  • Willingness and ability to travel
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
