Regulatory Support and Systems Manager

We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, and highly proactive Regulatory Systems Manager to play a key role within our Community Protection Service.
We want to improve and develop our regulatory systems to support the efficient and effective delivery of local authority regulatory services, reduce waste, enhance our customer experience and drive-up service standards.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the transformation and improvement of local services to deliver strategic regulation, promote business compliance and create safer places

WHAT IS INVOLVED?
You will be responsible for operational management and performance of the Regulatory Support and Systems Development service teams, ensuring effective delivery of services.
You will take a lead on service-wide projects and provide advice and guidance to Senior Officers, the Council, and its members.

You will also lead by example in terms of embedding the vision, values and behaviours of Durham County Council.

WHAT WILL YOU NEED?
You should be committed to the delivery of services that are of the highest quality, in accordance with the Council’s priorities and contribute to County Durham being a place where there are more and better jobs, people live long, and independent lives and our communities are well connected and supportive.

You will be educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant subject and able to demonstrate considerable experience in managing multi-disciplined teams within local authority regulatory services, have experience of developing regulatory systems and have a good understanding of relevant legislative frameworks.
