Making A Difference as A Principal Environmental Health Officer

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced or aspiring Principal Environmental Health Officer to join our busy Housing Standards Team.

The successful candidate will carry out an enforcement role whilst also providing support and supervision to a small team of Senior EHOs and Technical Officers. They will assist the Housing Standards Manager with development of policy and procedures and be the lead Officer in relation to Council’s Housing Enforcement, HMO and Empty Homes service delivery. They will also co-ordinate delivery of proactive schemes aimed at improving the health outcomes and housing standards of vulnerable tenants.

The ideal applicant will have a comprehensive working knowledge and experience of housing standards legislation and related housing issues.
