ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH OFFICER

£32,020 - £36,298

Rugby Borough Council’s Environmental Health and Community Safety Team is looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated professional to work in the Commercial Regulation section of our Environmental Health Team   The Commercial Regulation section is involved in a wide variety of interesting and challenging services including:  

• Food Hygiene
• Health and Safety
• Air Quality
• Permitted Processes Planning Liaison
• Contaminated Land
• Commercial Nuisance Investigation
• Commercial Noise Control

  This role will focus on Food Hygiene and Health and Safety but this is a multi-disciplinary role and successful applications will be expected to work across all disciplines.

You should be a qualified Environmental Health Officer holding an EHRB Certificate of Registration or equivalent.  Post graduate experience and a qualification in food or health and safety be an advantage, but consideration would be given to applications that are inexperienced EHOs, candidates looking to qualify post-graduation or qualified Food/Health and Safety Officers.   If you are a creative, self-motivated person, able to manage a diverse and challenging workload, this could be the job for you.
