Working 36.5 hours per week

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Environmental Health Officer to join our Environmental Health team.  Successful candidates will be responsible for enforcing a wide range of legislation and providing advice in line with Council policy and government requirements.

You will be joining a busy, friendly, and professional team with prospects to gain experience in a wide range of subject areas as well as operate in a variety of commercial and domestic settings.

Environmental Health Officer applicants will have a degree/diploma in Environmental Health and be EHORB registered or on the Environmental Health Practitioner Register.

Applicants will have experience in enforcement interventions, an ability to use a range of computer packages, have excellent communication skills with a range of different communities, stakeholders and businesses, the ability to work on several different cases at any one time in a busy environment and the requirement to drive is essential. You will be expected to travel within Birmingham for which you will be remunerated for the use of your car.
